The tradition of higher medical education in Georgia is already one hundred years old. According to the knowledge gained here, many famous surnames have been recorded on the medical-scientific map of the world. “East-West University” School of Medicine is the continuing center of these traditions.
“East-West University” is a higher education institution that currently serves medical and health sciences.
The university is implementing One-Cycle Medical Doctor Educational Program, which is currently quite required around the world. The program was developed by the university academic personal and representatives of the Medical Education Center of David Tvildiani Medical University. The mentioned medical education center was created in the scope of TEMPUS (currently Erasmus+) project, financed by European Union, the goal of which is to implement the international practice of medical education in Georgia. The group working on the program essentially took into consideration the modern approaches in international practice and the experience obtained in medical education, as a result of which current program was developed.
