LLC “East-West University” announces an open competition starting from September 1, 2023, for the following academic positions at the University’s School of Medicine:

  • a) Internal Medicine – Two full-time positions:
    – 1 Associate Professor
    – 1 Assistant Professor
  • b) Surgery – Two full-time positions:
    – 1 Associate Professor
    – 1 Assistant Professor
  • c) Pediatrics – Two full-time positions:
    – 1 Associate Professor
    – 1 Assistant Professor
  • d) Obstetrics and Gynecology – Two full-time positions:
    – 1 Associate Professor
    – 1 Assistant Professor
  • e) Neurology – Two full-time positions:
    – 1 Associate Professor
    – 1 Assistant Professor

Competition Guidelines

The competition will adhere to the principles of transparency, equality, and fair competition.

Eligibility Requirements

To participate, candidates must submit the following documents:

  1. a) A completed application form developed by the University (available on the official website)
    b) A copy of a personal ID
    c) Four 3×4 photographs
    d) Document(s) confirming higher education
    e) A copy of a scientific or doctoral academic degree certificate or equivalent
    – For degrees obtained abroad, a recognition document issued by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (LEPL) must be submitted
    f) One scientific publication that best reflects the candidate’s research capabilities
    g) Syllabus for one course the candidate is prepared to teach
    h) A document confirming at least six years of scientific-pedagogical experience
    i) For candidates applying to teach in the English-language program – documentation confirming experience in delivering lectures in English
    j) State certificates in permitted clinical specialties (as required by the applied position)

Academic Qualification Requirements

  • For the position of Associate Professor, the candidate must hold a PhD or equivalent academic degree and have at least 4 years of academic and pedagogical experience
  • For the position of Assistant Professor, the candidate must hold a PhD or equivalent academic degree

Evaluation Criteria

The selection committee, formed by the University Administration, will evaluate the candidates based on the following key criteria:

  • a) Ability to teach courses in accordance with modern academic standards in the respective field
  • b) Experience in pedagogical work
  • c) Number and quality of scientific publications (especially within the past 10 years)

The application period is from September 1 to September 18, 2023.

  • The results of the competition will be announced on October 20, 2023
  • All documentation must also be submitted in electronic format, recorded on a DVD disk
  • Submitted documents will not be returned to applicants

Competition Procedure

The competition will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Review of submitted documents by the selection committee
  2. Preliminary assessment
  3. Interviews with shortlisted candidates and final decision-making
